The Food Bank of Manatee is a PLUS program of Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee. The Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization based in Manatee County, and has provided over 30 million pounds of food since 1985 for local children, families, and seniors. The Food Bank of Manatee provides nutritional assistance and caring, supportive services to individuals in need throughout Manatee County by distributing food through local non-profit partner agencies and food pantries.

What is the difference between a Food Bank and a Food Pantry? A food bank is the warehouse for millions of pounds of food and other products that go out to the community. A food pantry functions as the arms that reach out to that community directly. Some use mobile food pantries, which reach people in areas of high need. BECOME AN AGENCY»
